Biographies

Theresa Odello, M.S. Ed.

Theresa is certified as a Park and Recreation Professional through the National Parks and Recreation Society. She has been teaching and facilitating high-ropes courses and team-building sessions on and off since 1999, and completed her thesis based on low ropes courses. Theresa has been teaching classes through the American Red Cross since 2008. While living in Virginia, Theresa ran the Outdoor Adventure Program for Old Dominion University in Norfolk, where she took students and staff on backpacking, camping, surfing, caving, white water rafting, hiking and other similar trips.

Brad Davis

Brad has for many years been a certified instructor of first aid, CPR/AED, and Emergency Medical Response for the American Red Cross and the National Safety Council. He has also been instructing the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program for adults and teens since 2000, and founded two community teams. Brad is also credentialed by the International Association of Emergency Managers and the California Emergency Management Agency as an Emergency Management Specialist.

Claire Davis

Claire Davis has been involved in the world of energy medicine and emergency preparedness for over 10 years. She is an experienced CERT instructor and teaches Energy Medicine locally, as well as being on the teaching faculty for The Four Winds Society. She also has a busy private practice. She is a graduate of The Grief Recovery Institute, caring deeply about the impact that disaster has upon individuals and communities. She is regularly part of the teaching team for the CERT program in Malibu and other locations.

Erin Huey

Erin has been teaching emergency preparedness and outdoor skills for over 25 years. She started at the Wilderness Institute teaching children various classes on outdoor skills including low and high rope experiences. Recruited unwittingly by her daughter into being a Girl Scout leader, Erin has taught many Girl Scout troops Outdoor survival, Navigation, and other outdoor badge work. Erin became an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer for many Red Cross programs teaching for both Girl Scouts, Red Cross and in her own private business.
