Theresa Odello, M.S. Ed.

Theresa is certified as a Park and Recreation Professional through the National Parks and Recreation Society. She has been teaching and facilitating high-ropes courses and team-building sessions on and off since 1999, and completed her thesis based on low ropes courses. Theresa has been teaching classes through the American Red Cross since 2008. While living in Virginia, Theresa ran the Outdoor Adventure Program for Old Dominion University in Norfolk, where she took students and staff on backpacking, camping, surfing, caving, white water rafting, hiking and other similar trips. She gave seminars in teambuilding and outdoor survival skills, and was an adjunct instructor teaching Backpacking, Outdoor Education and Aquatics, and Cultural Tourism. After Virginia she moved to Colorado where she worked as a park ranger at Cherry Creek State Park, then ran an adult day care program where she used many of her first aid skills and hazardous materials training. Currently, Theresa enjoys running the Malibu Senior Center and spending her time hiking and traveling whenever she can.
